Urban needle scans its environment in an automated process, transforming the shape of the room into sound. like a record needle it plays back a room, producing room-based noise. the room is the reel. urban needle sonifies architectures and urban spaces.
The result of this process will then run through a complex system of re-sampling, pitch shifting, live-looping and granular synthesis, controlled and interacted live during the performance by Bernhard
