POLYPHONY AT BAIZ, SESSION 007
Recorded live at the “Polyphonie im BAIZ” (“Polyphony at the BAIZ”), Berlin, on May 21, 2024, featuring Hilà Lahav.

OUR GUEST FOR THIS EVENT: HILÀ LAHAV
Hilà Lahav is a poet, musician and sound artist. She plays flutes, hollow- and tubular bodies and electronics. Hilà has composed music and created soundscapes for cinema, theater, dance and performance.
Since 2020 Hilà is part of the collective of ausland Berlin, – territory for arts and collateral damage – a collectively run event and production space.
“Polyphonie im BAIZ” a series of extraordinary music performances at BAIZ in Prenzlauer Berg, Berlin
Every third Tuesday of the month, there is a performance at the venue where Rainer Frey and myself perform as a duo, or as a trio with different guests, or maybe even solo from time to time. The music explores a wide range of sonic possibilities, starting with the electric guitar and atmospheric electronica and venturing into uncharted soundscapes. They see themselves as influenced by Berlin’s tradition of experimental and informal art and music.
“Polyphonie im BAIZ” pushes the boundaries of genres, creates new sonic spaces, and celebrates spontaneous musical interaction. These performances are open, allowing for freedom of expression and resulting in daring and unpredictable creations. The final outcome of each performance is always provisional, leaving room for the unexpected in future showcases.
