Halberstadt, located in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany, is a historic town renowned for its medieval architecture and rich history.

One of Halberstadt’s unique attractions is the John Cage Organ Project at St. Burchardi Church. This project features a performance of Cage’s composition ORGAN²/ASLSP (As Slow as Possible), which is set to last 639 years, making it the longest-running musical performance in history.

During my visit to St. Burchardi Church, the organ played the following notes:
