“In preparation for our concert on August 3, 2025, at the Tabor Church in Berlin-Kreuzberg, I met with Berlin-based artist and musician Matt Grau in my studio on May 8, 2025. I was deeply impressed when, shortly before our meeting, I saw him perform a solo set at an art exhibition opening. Rooted in his zen meditation practice, he sat cross-legged, coaxing ethereal sounds from his electric guitar with an ebow over a sustained drone. For our collaborative performance, my vision is to extend this immersive approach to both of us, allowing us and the audience to lose ourselves in a continuous soundscape within the Tabor Church’s beautiful interior.” – Bernhard
