This performance was recorded live on September 19, 2026, at the Kunstwerkhalle in Hanau, Germany.
Volker and Bernhard usually perform as a duo under the name Elsewhere Project. This time, Hans-Dieter Schmidt, who was a featured guest the last time Volker and Bernhard played in Hanau, joined again. He is a skilful and wonderfully inspired player of the Akai EWI 4000S electronic wind instrument.
The Kunstwerkhalle (“Artwork Hall”), a former car workshop converted into an art exhibition space, retains the unique atmosphere of its past while providing a sprawling, inspiring environment. This setting was the perfect backdrop for the performance, allowing the trio to give full expression to their music.
