Live recording of a private concert performance at Castle Studios on March 8, 2021.

Using the capabilities of the amazing Castle Studios, Magnet was recorded by mic’ing and re-amping all the electronic signals, turning them into “real” acoustic vibration. An actual reverb room, metal reverb plates and rotary speakers, plus the resonating strings of nearby grand piano have been picked up by microphones. These signals were used exclusively for this mix.

Magnet is not only about being a showcase of how vintage gear and current electronic sound production technologies can merge. It is an epic musical statement with a physical presence.
