Dave Schoepke is a Milwaukee-based percussionist, composer, author, and educator whose work explores hybrid drum set performance through the integration of acoustic drums, synthesizers, processing, composed material, and improvisation.
He has released four solo albums, appeared on more than 50 recordings, and led the Blank Radio improvised recording series, which features over 100 artists. A longtime member of the Willy Porter Band, he has also toured and recorded with Jethro Tull guitarist Martin Barre.
His award-winning 2024 album Sun Will Follow will be followed by a new solo release in 2026.
He is currently developing collaborative projects with Icelandic composer Hafdís Bjarnadóttir and Berlin-based electronic musician and composer Bernhard Wöstheinrich.
